Collection Milano

Design Brief

Developed during my professional footwear training at ARSUTORIA School in Milan, Collection Milano explores a contemporary footwear proposition for the modern metropolitan professional.

Designed for a consumer whose lifestyle moves fluidly between business, travel and leisure, the collection balances the refinement of professional footwear with the comfort, versatility and progressive character of modern performance products.

The design challenge was to bridge these two worlds through tailored sophistication, athletic functionality and architectural form. Silhouette exploration, unconventional closure systems, technical materials and sculptural sole structures were used to develop a versatile collection with a distinctive, future-facing design language.

DISCIPLINE: Footwear Design

SCOPE: Research, Ideation, Collection Development, Pattern Engineering, Material & Construction Development, Prototyping

LOCATION: Milan, Italy

INSTITUTION: ARSUTORIA School

INSPIRATION: Futurism

The collection was developed around futurism as its central creative theme, exploring how movement, technology and progressive architecture could inform a new footwear language.

Inspiration was drawn from transportation design, aerodynamic surfaces, contemporary architecture and engineered structures, focusing on flowing geometry, structural layering and the relationship between form and function. These references became the foundation for the collection’s silhouettes, closure systems and sculptural sole architecture.

Note: When it comes to sole the prototype deviates from the original design. I was limited to the existing sole in our disposal at school.
